About Journal

The Journal of Computational and Applied Research in Mechanical Engineering (JCARME) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Shahid Rajaee Teacher Training University (SRTTU), Tehran, Iran.

JCARME publishes original research articles, review articles, and technical notes that contribute to the advancement of computational and applied methods in mechanical engineering and related interdisciplinary fields.

The journal aims to provide an international forum for the dissemination of high-quality research addressing contemporary challenges in mechanical engineering through analytical, computational, numerical, experimental, data-driven, and multidisciplinary approaches.

Peer Review

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their suitability for the journal's scope, scientific quality, originality, and compliance with the journal's requirements.

Manuscripts considered suitable for peer review are normally evaluated by at least two independent expert reviewers under a single-blind peer-review process.

Editorial decisions are based on the scientific quality, originality, methodological rigor, clarity, significance, and relevance of the manuscript. The journal does not guarantee acceptance or publication based on the speed of processing.

Publication Frequency

JCARME is published semiannually, with two issues per year.

The journal is committed to maintaining a consistent and timely publication schedule. Articles may be published online as Articles in Press after acceptance and completion of the production process. Articles in Press are subsequently assigned to an appropriate regular issue.

Open Access

JCARME is an open-access journal. All published articles are freely available online immediately after publication. The journal does not charge authors submission, peer-review, or article-processing fees.

JCARME is published and financially supported by Shahid Rajaee Teacher Training University (SRTTU), Tehran, Iran.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain the rights applicable under the journal's publishing agreement. Published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons license specified on the journal website.

Digital Identification

Published articles are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to facilitate persistent identification, citation, linking, and long-term discoverability.

Publication Ethics and Research Integrity

JCARME follows internationally recognized principles of publication ethics and research integrity. The journal maintains policies concerning authorship, originality, plagiarism, conflicts of interest, peer-review confidentiality, corrections and retractions, complaints and appeals, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.

The journal refers to the guidance and flowcharts of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) when addressing publication-ethics and research-integrity concerns.

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are based on scholarly considerations, including scientific quality, originality, methodological rigor, relevance, and significance. Decisions are not influenced by commercial interests, institutional relationships, nationality, gender, race, religion, or political considerations.

International Editorial Structure

JCARME maintains an international editorial structure comprising researchers with expertise in the major areas covered by the journal. Editorial Board members are selected based on their academic expertise, research activity, scholarly standing, and ability to contribute to the editorial development of the journal.
