1. Aims and Scope
The Journal of Computational and Applied Research in Mechanical Engineering (JCARME) publishes original research that contributes to the advancement of mechanical engineering and related interdisciplinary fields.
The journal considers research papers, review articles, and technical notes that provide significant scientific or engineering contributions and are relevant to the scope of the journal.
Topics covered by the journal include, but are not limited to:

Heat and Mass Transfer
Thermodynamics and Combustion
Computational Fluid Dynamics
Energy Science and Technology
Environmental Applications in Engineering

Manuscripts should have a clear scientific or engineering contribution and should be of interest to the international mechanical engineering community.
2.Types of Articles
JCARME considers the following types of manuscripts:
Research Articles
Research Articles should report original research with a clearly defined research question, appropriate methodology, adequate analysis, and conclusions supported by the results.
Review Articles
Review Articles should provide a critical and comprehensive assessment of a well-defined topic. A review should do more than summarize previously published studies and should identify important developments, limitations, unresolved issues, and possible directions for future research.
Technical Notes
Technical Notes may present a new technical method, procedure, experimental approach, computational technique, or other significant technical contribution that can be communicated in a relatively concise format.
The editorial office may request that a submitted manuscript be considered under a different article category when this is more appropriate for its content.
3. Originality and Exclusive Submission
Manuscripts submitted to JCARME must be original and must not have been published previously in substantially the same form.
A manuscript submitted to JCARME must not be under consideration for publication by another journal at the same time.
Submission of a manuscript implies that all authors have approved its submission and that they agree with the content of the manuscript and with its consideration by JCARME.
Authors should disclose any closely related manuscripts, previously published conference papers, preprints, theses, or other publications that may substantially overlap with the submitted work.
4. Authorship
All individuals listed as authors should have made a substantial contribution to the research and should be able to take responsibility for the work.
All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript before submission.
The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the journal during the submission and review process and should ensure that all authors are aware of the submission and agree with the information provided.
Individuals who have contributed to the work but do not meet the criteria for authorship should be appropriately acknowledged.
Any request to add, remove, or change the order of authors after submission must be accompanied by a clear explanation and must receive the agreement of all authors.
5. Manuscript Language
JCARME publishes articles in English.
Authors may use either American or British English, but a manuscript should use one form of English consistently throughout the text.
The manuscript should be written in clear and understandable academic English. Authors are responsible for ensuring that the language of the manuscript is sufficiently clear for its scientific content to be evaluated.
Manuscripts that are difficult to understand because of serious language problems may be returned to the authors for improvement before the peer-review process or may be rejected when the language prevents adequate evaluation of the work.
6. Manuscript Structure
A research article should normally contain the following sections, where applicable:
Title
Author names and affiliations
Abstract
Keywords
Introduction
Materials and Methods / Methodology
Results and discussion
Conclusions
Acknowledgements
Funding information
Conflict of Interest statement
References
The exact structure may vary depending on the nature of the research.
Authors should ensure that the manuscript presents sufficient methodological information to allow readers to understand how the research was conducted and how the reported conclusions were obtained.
7. Title, Abstract and Keywords
The title should be concise, informative, and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.
The abstract should provide a clear summary of the purpose of the study, the methodology, the principal findings, and the main conclusions. It should be understandable without referring to the main text.
Authors should provide appropriate keywords that accurately represent the main subjects and methods of the manuscript.
Authors are encouraged to use specific and informative terminology in titles and abstracts to improve the discoverability of their work in scholarly databases.
8. Figures and Tables
All figures and tables should be numbered consecutively and cited in the main text.
Each figure and table should have a clear and informative caption.
Figures should be of sufficient quality for publication and should remain readable when reproduced in the journal's final layout.
Authors should ensure that all figures, tables, and other materials reproduced from previously published sources are used with appropriate permission where required and are properly cited.
Please ensure all figures, tables and supplementary data should be embedded and included in the main manuscript file.
9. Equations, Symbols and Units
Mathematical equations should be prepared using an appropriate equation editor and should not be inserted as images.
Symbols and abbreviations should be defined when they are first introduced.
Authors should use internationally recognized units and scientific conventions consistently throughout the manuscript.
10. References and Citations
Authors are responsible for ensuring that all references cited in the manuscript are accurate and complete.
Every reference cited in the text should appear in the reference list, and every reference in the reference list should be cited in the manuscript.
Authors should cite relevant and appropriate literature that provides the necessary scientific context for their work.
References should not be included merely to increase the number of citations or to influence citation metrics.
Authors should give particular attention to recent and directly relevant research while also citing important earlier studies when appropriate.
The reference format should follow the journal's current template.
11. Supplementary Material and Research Data
Supplementary material may be submitted when it contains information that supports the manuscript but is not essential for understanding the main text.
Where appropriate, authors are encouraged to make supporting data, code, models, or other research materials available through suitable repositories or other accessible means.
Any statement concerning data availability should accurately reflect whether and how the underlying data or materials can be accessed.
12. Ethical Requirements
Authors must comply with the journal's Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.
Where a study involves human participants, animals, or other research requiring ethical approval, authors should provide appropriate information regarding ethical approval, informed consent, or other relevant requirements.
Authors must disclose potential conflicts of interest and sources of financial support where applicable.
13. Plagiarism and Originality Checking
All submitted manuscripts may be screened using appropriate originality or plagiarism-detection tools.
Authors should ensure that the manuscript does not contain plagiarized material, inappropriate text reuse, duplicate publication, or other forms of unacceptable overlap with previously published work.
The use of another author's ideas, text, figures, tables, or data must be appropriately acknowledged and cited.
14. Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools
Authors remain responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the submitted manuscript.
AI-assisted tools may be used in accordance with the journal's AI Policy. Such tools must not be listed as authors.
Where the use of an AI tool has materially contributed to the preparation of the manuscript, authors should provide the disclosure required by the journal's AI Policy.
Authors remain fully responsible for checking any content generated or modified with the assistance of AI tools, including references, factual statements, technical information, equations, and interpretations.
15. Submission Requirements
Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal's online submission system.
The manuscript should be prepared according to the current JCARME template and submission instructions available on the journal website. Please send the word file format as the main file and the PDF format as supplementary file.
Authors should ensure that the submitted files are complete and that all information required for the editorial and peer-review process has been provided.
The corresponding author should verify the following before submission:
The manuscript falls within the scope of JCARME.
The manuscript is original and is not under consideration elsewhere.
All authors have approved the submitted version.
Author names and affiliations are correct.
All figures and tables are properly cited.
References are complete and consistent with the journal format.
Conflict of Interest information has been provided.
Funding information has been provided where applicable.
Ethical approval information has been provided where required.
Any relevant use of AI-assisted tools has been disclosed.
16. Peer Review
JCARME uses a single-blind peer-review process.
Manuscripts are first evaluated by the editorial office for scope, basic quality, originality, and compliance with the journal's requirements. Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment are assigned to an editor and normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.
The peer-review process and the responsibilities of authors, reviewers, and editors are described in detail in the journal's Peer Review Policy.
The recommendation of an individual reviewer does not by itself determine the final editorial decision.
17.Revision of Manuscripts
When revision is requested, authors should submit a revised manuscript within the period specified by the editorial office.
A detailed response to the reviewers' comments should accompany the revised manuscript. Authors should indicate clearly how each substantive comment has been addressed.
When authors disagree with a reviewer's comment, they should provide a clear scientific explanation for their position.
A revised manuscript may be returned to the original reviewers or assessed by the editor, depending on the nature and extent of the revisions.
18. Graphical Abstract
Authors may be required or encouraged to provide a graphical abstract in accordance with the journal's current submission requirements.
A graphical abstract should provide a concise visual representation of the main subject, approach, or findings of the article.
It should be clear, scientifically accurate, and understandable without requiring detailed explanation.
Authors should ensure that all elements used in a graphical abstract are original or appropriately licensed.
19. Conflict of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial, personal, professional, or institutional relationship that could reasonably be perceived as influencing the research or its interpretation.
If no conflict of interest exists, authors should provide an appropriate statement indicating that there are no conflicts to declare.
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all authors have provided accurate conflict-of-interest information.
20. Funding
All sources of financial support for the research should be acknowledged.
Where applicable, authors should provide the name of the funding organization and the relevant grant or project number.
If the funder had no role in the design of the study, data collection, analysis, interpretation, manuscript preparation, or decision to submit the manuscript, this may be stated where appropriate.
21. Corrections and Retractions
Authors should promptly inform the journal if they discover a significant error in their published article.
Depending on the nature and significance of an error or ethical concern, the journal may publish a correction, editorial notice, or retraction in accordance with its Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.
22. Manuscript Preparation
Authors should use the official JCARME manuscript template when preparing their submission.
The latest version of the template and any specific formatting instructions should be obtained from the journal website before submission, as formatting requirements may be updated periodically.
Authors should not substantially alter the journal template unless specifically instructed by the editorial office.
23. Final Checklist Before Submission
Before submitting a manuscript, authors are encouraged to confirm that:
The manuscript is within the scope of JCARME.
The work is original.
The manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere.
All authors have approved the manuscript.
The title and abstract accurately represent the work.
Keywords have been provided.
Figures and tables are numbered and cited correctly.
References are complete and accurate.
Ethical requirements have been addressed where applicable.
Funding information has been provided.
Conflict of Interest information has been provided.
The manuscript follows the current JCARME template.
