Theoretical investigation of Ohmic heating (Joule heating) and radiation on MHD Jeffery fluid model with porous material along the tapered channel with peristalsis is the focus of this study. Long wavelength and low-Reynolds number approximations are used in the mathematical modelling. Axial rate, pressure gradient, temperature, and heat transfer coefficient rate expressions are calculated. Plotting diagrams were used to analyse the impact of physical parameters on flow characteristics, which were then addressed in greater depth. It is worth noting that raising the gravitational parameter, Jeffery fluid parameter, Hartmann number and Porosity parameter raises the fluid’s velocity. Also, as the Ohmic heating (Jeffery fluid) parameter and porosity parameter increase, the axial pressure gradient drop;, and the temperature of the fluid rises. The rate of heatt transfer coefficient rises in region with an increase in the Radiation parameter, Heat generator parameter and Jeffery fluid parameter. Mathematica software is employed to seek out numerical results.

This study analyses the combined effect of chemical reaction and Soret number on MHD flow of a viscous and incompressible fluid near the exponentially accelerated infinite vertical plate in a rotating system. The fluid under consideration is electrically conducting and the medium is porous. A set of dimensionless governing equations of the model is obtained. As the equations are linear, an exact solution is derived by using Laplace technique. The effects of flow parameters on the concentration, temperature and velocity are discussed through graphs. It is noticed that the components of the velocity in both the directions can be increased by increasing the Soret number; and the velocities can be reduced by increasing the chemical reaction parameter. Tables depict the numerical values of the rate of change of momentum, concentration and temperature. Applications of the study are considered in the fields like solar plasma and planetary fluid dynamics systems, rotating MHD generators, etc.

Due to the presence of rheological flow parameters and viscoelastic properties, non-Newtonian fluid structure is intricate and enticing to investigate. The flow has been made by considering variable temperature and radiation effects for the magnetohydrodynamic viscoelastic liquid past a moving vertical plate in a porous state. First order homogeneous chemical reaction, Soret number, variable temperature and concentration have been taken into account. The leading mathematical proclamation is handled analytically by perturbation strategy. The central aspiration of this work is to explore the consequences of sundry parameters on fluid flow, thermal boundary and concentration profiles. Diagram and tabular trends of the profiles are delineated with apropos parameters. Our sketches illustrate that the velocity profile exposes decelerate scenery with escalating M due to the Lorentz force in the opposite direction of flow. Temperature profile is getting accelerated owing to thermal radiation and concentration distribution is declined by boosting up the chemical reaction and Schmidt number. Diminishing nature of momentum boundary layer with Sc is also portrayed. Furthermore, at the end of this paper the effects of different parameters on skin fricition coefficient and local Nusselt number are investigated.

Entropy generation due to viscous incompressible MHD forced convective dissipative fluid flow through a horizontal channel of finite depth in the existence of an inclined magnetic field and heat source effect has been examined. The governing non-linear partial differential equations for momentum, energy, and entropy generation are derived and solved by using the analytical method. In addition, the skin friction coefficient and Nusselt number are calculated numerically and their values are presented through the tables for the upper and the bottom wall of the channel. It was concluded that the total entropy generation rate and Bejan number are reduced due to a rise in the inclination angle of the magnetic field. Also, an increment in the heat source props up the fluid temperature and total entropy generation rate. This study will help to reduce the energy loss due to reversible process and heat dissipation. The results are also useful for chemical and metallurgy industries.

The non-dimensional multivariable governing equations are solved numerically by by means of Runge-Kutta method along with shooting technique. The behavior of velocity, temperature and induced magnetic fields for different physical aspects is discussed through graphical illustrations. The influence of physical constants like Casson fluid (β), Magnetic parameter Μ, Soret number Sc, Prandtl number Pr, Magnetic Prandtl number etc., on induced magnetic field, temperature and velocity is analyzed. Interesting observation of this study is that the effect of velocity distribution obeys the physical nature of well-known Newtonian and all other Non-Newtonian fluids.

In this paper, we analyze the thermal radiation and chemical reaction impacts on MHD peristaltic motion of the Eyring-Powell fluid through a porous medium in a channel with compliant walls under slip conditions for velocity, temperature, and concentration. Assumptions of a long wave length and low Reynolds number are considered. The modeled equations are computed by using the perturbation method. The resulting non-linear system is solved for the stream function, velocity, temperature, concentration, skin-friction coefficient, heat transfer coefficient and mass transfer coefficient. The flow quantities are examined for various parameters. Temperature depresses with an enhancee in the radiation parameter, while the opposite effect is observed for the concentration. The fluid concentration enhances and depresses with generative and destructive chemical reaction respectively. The trapped bolus whose size diminishes as the Powel-Eyring parameter increases while it enhances as another Powell fluid parameter increases. The trapped bolus whose size rises when Darcy number enhances.

In this study, the Brownian motion and thermophoresis effects on the MHD ferrofluid flow over a cone with thermal radiation were discussed. Kerosene with the magnetic nanoparticles (Fe3O4) was considered. A set of transformed governing nonlinear coupled ordinary differential equations were solved numerically using Runge-Kutta based shooting technique. A simulation was performed by mixing ferrous particles with base fluids. Also, dual solutions for Casson Ferrofluid flow over a cone with rotation and without rotation effects were presented. An agreement of the present solutions with those published in literature was found. The effect of dimensionless parameters on velocity, temperature and concentration profiles along with the friction factor coefficients, Nusselt number, and the Sherwood numbers were discussed with the help of graphs and tables. It was found that the volume fraction of Ferro nanoparticles, magnetic field parameter, and Brownian motion parameters are controlling the friction factor coefficients, Nusselt number and Sherwood numbers for both the rotation and without rotation effects cases.

This study deals with the three-dimensional flow of a chemically reacting magnetohydrodynamic Sisko fluid over a bidirectional stretching surface filled with the ferrous nanoparticles in the presence of non-uniform heat source/sink, nonlinear thermal radiation, and suction/injection. After applying the self-suitable similarity transforms, the nonlinear ordinary differential equations are solved numerically using Runge-Kutta and Newton’s methods. Results present the effects of various non-dimensional governing parameters on velocity, temperature and concentration profiles. Also, computed and discussed the friction factor coefficients along with the local Nusselt and Sherwood numbers. Similarity solutions for suction and injection cases are presented. A good agreement in the present results with the existed literature under some special limited cases is found. It is found that heat and mass transfer performance of Sisko ferrofluid is significantly high in injection case when compared with the suction case. Increasing values of the stretching parameter enhance the heat and mass transfer rate.

The governing partial differential equations are transformed as ordinary differential equations making use of similarity solutions and solved numerically with the aid of Runge-Kutta based shooting technique. The limiting case of the present results shows a good agreement with the published results. We presented solutions for the flow over a cone and a vertical plate cases. The influence of dimensionless parameters on velocity and temperature profiles along with the friction factor coefficient and the heat transfer rate are analyzed with the help of graphs and tables. It is found that the rising value of the volume fraction of ferrous nanoparticles enhances the friction factor coefficient and heat transfer rate. It is also found that heat transfer performance of the flow over a plate is comparatively higher than the flow over a cone.

This article explores the heat and mass transfer behaviour of magnetohydrodynamic free convective flow past a permeable vertical rotating cone and a plate filled with gyrotactic microorganisms in the presence of nonlinear thermal radiation, thermo diffusion and diffusion thermo effects. We presented dual solutions for the flow over a rotating cone and a rotating flat plate cases. Similarity variables are employed to convert the nonlinear partial differential equations into ordinary differential equations. Comparisons with previously published work are performed and results are found to be in excellent agreement. The resultant non-dimensional governing equations along with associated boundary conditions are solved numerically using Runge–Kutta and Newton’s methods. The impact of pertinent parameters on velocity, temperature, concentration and density of the motile microorganisms along with the friction factor, local Nusselt, Sherwood numbers and the local density of the motile microorganisms was determined and analyzed with the help of graphs and tables. Results proved that there is a significant variation of heat and mass transfer in the flow over a rotating cone and a plate. It is also found that the heat and mass transfer performance of the flow over a rotating cone is significantly high when compared with the flow over a rotating plate.

Effect of nonlinear thermal radiation on the unsteady magnetohydrodynamic slip flow of Casson fluid between parallel disks in the presence of thermophoresis and Brownian motion effects are investigated numerically. A similarity transformation is employed to reduce the governing partial differential equations into ordinary differential equations. Further, Runge-Kutta and Newton’s methods are adopted to solve the reduced ordinary differential equations. The effect of non-dimensional governing parameters, namely magnetic field parameter, Casson parameter, thermophoresis parameter, Brownian motion parameter, thermal radiation parameter, unsteadiness parameter, velocity slip parameter and temperature slip parameter on velocity, temperature and concentration fields are discussed and presented through graphs. Reduced Nusselt and Sherwood numbers are computed and presented through a table. It is found that rising values of nonlinear thermal radiation parameter depreciate the reduced Nusselt and Sherwood numbers. Thermophoresis and Brownian motion parameters have tendency to regulate the thermal and concentration boundary layers. Rising values of Casson parameter enhances the heat and mass transfer rate.

The paper aims at investigating the effects of chemical reaction and thermal radiation on the steady two-dimensional laminar flow of viscous incompressible electrically conducting micropolar fluid past a stretching surface embedded in a non-Darcian porous medium. The radiative heat flux is assumed to follow Rosseland approximation. The governing equations of momentum, angular momentum, energy, and species equations are solved numerically using Runge-Kutta fourth order method with the shooting technique. The effects of various parameters on the velocity, microrotation, temperature and concentration field as well as skin friction coefficient, Nusselt number and Sherwood number are shown graphically and tabulated. It is observed that the micropolar fluid helps the reduction of drag forces and also acts as a cooling agent. It was found that the skin-friction coefficient, heat transfer rate, and mass transfer rate are decreased, and the gradient of angular velocity increases as the inverse Darcy number, porous medium inertia coefficient, or magnetic field parameter increase. Increases in the heat generation/absorption coefficient caused increases in the skin-friction coefficient and decrease the heat transfer rate. It was noticed that the increase in radiation parameter or Prandtl number caused a decrease in the skin-friction coefficient and an increase in the heat transfer rate. In addition, it was found that the increase in Schmidt number and chemical reaction caused a decrease in the skin-friction coefficient and an increase in the mass transfer rate.

The present paper was aimed to study the effects of variable thermal conductivity and heat generation on the flow of a viscous incompressible electrically conducting fluid in the presence of a uniform transverse magnetic field, thermal radiation, porous medium, mass transfer, and variable free stream near a stagnation point on a non-conducting stretching sheet. Equations of continuity, momentum, energy, and mass were transformed into ordinary differential equations and solved numerically using shooting method. Velocity, temperature, and concentration distributions were numerically discussed and presented in the graphs. Skin-friction coefficient, the Nusselt number, and Sherwood number on the sheet were derived and discussed numerically. Their numerical values for various values of physical parameters were presented in the tables. It was found that temperature increased with increasing radiation parameter, R, and concentration decreased with increasing the Schmidt number, Sc. The numerical predications were compared with the existing information in the literature and a good agreement was obtained.

This paper was concerned with studying the magnetohydrodynamic steady laminar free convection flow of a micropolar fluid past a continuously moving surface in the presence of heat generation and thermal radiation. Similarity transformation was employed to transform the governing partial differential equations into ordinary ones, which were then solved numerically using the finite element method. Numerical results for the dimensionless velocity, microrotation and temperature profiles were obtained and displayed graphically for pertinent parameters to show interesting aspects of the solution. The skin friction and the rate of heat transfer were also computed and presented through tables. Favorable comparison with previously published work was performed.
